Tribute To Mötley Crüe
The fourth annual Sunset Strip Music Festival kicks off on Thursday, Aug. 18 with a tribute event celebrating influential Sunset Strip rockers Mötley Crüe!
The event includes a complimentary cocktail hour from 7-8 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony and a performance by Crash Kings
Mötley Crüe got their start on The Sunset Strip, as they performed many nights at the Whisky A Go-Go and The Roxy Theatre. The band also filmed their “Kickstart My Heart” video at the Whisky and for a while lived just up the street from the venue on Clark Street, making The Sunset Strip their official home.

I got my VIP ticket!! It’s a priviledge to be part of this special night for Motley Crue. I was also there last year for Slash’s tribute night. I wish I knew about it for Ozzy’s tribute in 2009. I CAN’T f**ing wait!!!
Got VIP tickets a while ago, I cannot wait for this tribute! Crue was part of the reason I fell in love with L.A. and wanted to move here so long ago…love the glam, love the rock, love MOTLEY CRUE!!!
I needed to tell y’all about the time I followed the Crue to Alpine Valley, when they were shooting a video with a camera in a giant clear ball. The amazing memory I have is when Tommy’s drums go over the audience to the end where he seemed 5 ft. over our heads. Everyone started throwing their shoes at him and when the shoes ran out they removed their shirts and threw them at him. Everyone went home barefoot and wearing a different Crue shirt than what they came with.
