SSMF Presents A Sunset Strip Photo Exhibit Aug. 27

Sure the Sunset Strip Music Festival is about amazing performances by some of your favorite bands, but it is also a celebration of the entire Sunset Strip. It’s history and influence.

On Friday, August 27, SSMF will celebrate the photographers who have captured Sunset Strip moments over the past few years, from the social media “TweetCrawls” and behind-the-scenes photos to images from the 2009 and 2008 Sunset Strip Music Festival. The exhibit features the works of six local music and celebrity photographers: Erik Voake, Tim Gaylord, Andrew Herrold, Nate Christenson, Genie Sanchez and Wendy Gonzalez.

After five semi-final showcases at Universal CityWalk, 98.7-FM’s Rockstar competition is coming to a head. Some of L.A.’s hottest home grown, unsigned bands have been competing, hoping to earn a spot at the finals competition set to be held at the Key Club, as part of the 2010 Sunset Strip Music Festival.
